Brett Favre Throws an Illegal Block

Brett Favre took the the field for the final time of the 2009 preseason on Monday night and the fans got everything they ever bargained for. Favre brought his usual flair and swagger. We saw him improvise, call his own plays and do everything else in between. On the field he was solid, there is no doubt about that.

However, the most interesting play of the game took place late in the third quarter when the Minnesota Vikings decided to give the Wildcat formation a try and split Brett Favre out as a receiver. Granted Favre looked as comfortable as could be expected out wide, he proved that he has no clue what he is doing when throwing a block. Anyone who has played football knows about the crackback block and Brett Favre threw a textbook perfect one on the Vikings Eugene Wilson, too bad they are completely illegal.




I hate to say it, but Favre should be fined for this hit right here. It was completely uncalled for, and he hurt another player thanks to his dangerous play.
