This season has been great so far and I'm happy with my wins at Torrey and Doral. Something nice that's happened off the course was meeting Lindsey Vonn. Lindsey and I have been friends for some time, but over the last few months we have become very close and are now dating. We thank you for your support and for respecting our privacy. We want to continue our relationship, privately, as an ordinary couple and continue to compete as athletes.
The timing of this announcement is interesting on a few levels. Since his divorce, it's no secret that Tiger Woods has struggled on the course while he tried to regain control of his personal life. However, in 2013 Tiger has seen an obvious resurgence already picking up two tour victories. While it's tough to say there is an direct correlation between the two, I am sure the new found serenity at home can only help Tiger's game on the course.
The other interesting fact about the timing of this announcement is, last week many news outlets were reporting that Tiger's ex-wife is now dating a billionaire. A headline that made some waves during the news cycle. Perhaps Tiger is firing a not so subtle shot back and letting the world know he is doing just fine.
On a side note, it appears that Lindsey Vonn is recovering well from a nasty accident on the slopes earlier this winter.
