Detroit Lions Hire Tennessee Titians D-Coordinator
The team that went 0-16 last season and set an NFL record in route, the Detroit Lions have found the man to lead them out of the basement. Tennessee Titians defensive coordinator Jim Schwartz has agreed to take over as the Lions signal caller.
"I don't shy away from a challenge," Schwartz said Monday at a news conference that was scheduled as part of his day at the team's headquarters.
Schwartz will have his hands full as he tries to rebuild both the offense and the defense of the Detroit Lions. He will have a helping hand with the number one draft pick in this years draft. Despite some of the needs on the offensive side of the ball, one can expect the Lions to take a defensive approach to the game. There is no doubt that he has the credentials to make a defensive Juggernaut based on his experience at Tennessee.
