NFL 2010 Combine Top Performers

With the first couple days of the 2010 NFL Combine in the books, we've had the opportunity to watch all the offensive players do their thing. Yesterday we gave you the top 40 yard dash times because everyone loves to see who ran a 4.3 or better. However, now we are taking in account all the drills and singling out a few players who excelled and helped their draft stock this past weekend.

Bruce Campbell OT:
After his workouts and interviews on Saturday, Bruce Campbell may be the biggest winner from this year's combine and we are only half way through the event. Before this year's combine it was assumed that Bruce Campbell would be a first round draft pick, but thanks to some great performances on the field and even better interviews, there are now rumors of him going in the top ten in the draft. Campbell ran the fastest 40 yard dash time at 4.85 seconds, (Nice but not important for an offensive linemen) he also finished in the top ten in the bench press, vertical jump, 3-cone drill and the 20 yard shuttle run. During the interview process teams were enamored by him. It is rumored that the Oakland Raiders fell in love with the big man, which is good since they were already expected to to take an offensive linemen with the eight overall pick.

Jacoby Ford WR:
The Clemson wide out spent the majority of the year living in teammates C.J. Spillers shadow. However, thanks to a blazing 40 yard dash time Jacoby Ford is suddenly finding his draft stock sky rocketing. Ford ran a 4.28 40 yard dash, that's good for the fastest time at this year's combine. In addition, Ford looked very good in many of the drills on the field. Everyone knew Ford could run, he's a NCAA sprinter. The question was does he have the hands to actually play as a receiver in the NFL. Ford completed all his drills with minimal issues locating the ball and making plays on the ball in the air. Thanks to his stellar workout people are now talking about Jacoby Ford being the next Percey Harvin or a Steve Smith from the Giants.

Tim Tebow QB:
What's a 2010 NFL Combine story without talking some Tim Tebow? The Florida Gators quarterback ran drills with everyone on Sunday. He worked shuttle runs with the quarterbacks, but he also stepped in and ran 3-Cone drills with the receivers. Obviously his interviews went very well. Physically Tebow tested in the top 10 for quarterbacks in just about every category. His versatility has impressed scouts. The lingering issue with the Time Tebow continues to be his throwing motion. Tebow elected to skip all passing drills at the Combine in favor of waiting till his pro-day in March. If he is able to wow scouts with his re-tooled throwing motion, it is possible that Tebow could find himself back in the first round of the NFL Draft.
